BIO
Dan Ruggiero was a civil litigator with a great deal of experience trying cases in courtrooms throughout southern Ohio. He began his career with the Ohio Attorney General's Office in Columbus serving as Assistant Chief of the Special Litigation and Transportation Sections. Dan's practice areas include: personal injury, products liability, professional malpractice, general civil litigation, public sector law and estate work. Mr. Ruggiero practiced law for nearly 50 years, was "A" rated by Martindale Hubbell, and was named an Ohio Super Lawyer. Highly regarded by his colleagues, Mr. Ruggiero was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was a member of the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors.

SUSAN M. SALYER

Susan Salyer has been a trial attorney in Ohio since 2003 and in Indiana since 2004. She leads her clients through the litigation process from start to finish, including pre-suit activity, discovery disputes, negotiations, mediations, trials, and appeals. She has represented clients with personal injury claims, property disputes, defamation claims, medical issues, and unique factual situations. Her clients often praise her for her empathy and ability to make the litigation process less daunting. Ms. Salyer utilizes her strong writing background in preparing and arguing motions, briefs, and appeals on behalf of her clients. Ms. Salyer has successfully argued in front of various appellate courts and the Ohio Supreme Court.

JOHN R. HAAS

BIO
John Haas has represented individual clients and large nationally recognized companies addressing legal issues ranging from contracts, real property, surety bonds, automobile, professional, medical and governmental liability. He has served as lead counsel in hundreds of tort cases involving individuals, companies and governmental entities. He also litigates contract disputes ranging from accounting disagreements to multi-million dollar claims for compensatory and punitive damages.
As the Solicitor for the City of Portsmouth, Ohio, Mr. Haas is General Counsel to a Municipal Corporation with a $40 million budget and over 200 union and non-union employees. He also serves as the Prosecutor with county-wide jurisdiction managing two Assistant Prosecutors and support staff. He is Chief Legal Counsel for Portsmouth City Council, Portsmouth City Schools, Civil Service Commission, Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Portsmouth Health Department. He also serves as Special Prosecutor on a regular basis in neighboring counties. He was re-elected to serve an additional four year term in 2023.
